How to Adopt

Thank you for your interest in the animals we have at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina. We have many wonderful pets that need wonderful homes.

HSEC is currently operating under a different adoption process due to COVID19. If you are interested in adopting one of HSEC's wonderful animals, please follow these steps:

Download the Adoption Application from the homepage of our website: www.HSECarolina.org
Complete the application and send it to AdoptHSEC@gmail.com
A staff member will review your application and be in touch to set up an appointment time for you to meet with an Adoption Counselor

Appointments will be made during our usual Adoption Hours.

At this time, we will ONLY be able to walk adopters around after they have filled out the application and set an appointment time with HSEC staff. We will not be able to facilitate "walk-in" adoptions.

We are located at 3520 Tupper Drive, Greenville, NC (just behind Greenville Marine). We try to keep our animals up to date online at all times, but if it is a heavy intake week, we might not have everyone listed yet so be sure to come in and take a peek!

When you visit our facility, you can expect to see healthy animals in a clean facility. We usually have 15 dogs and 25 cats available for adoption at our facility; however, we also have several animals in foster care who are available. You are welcome to spend one-on-one time with any of our animals in one of our exercise areas. Our Adoption Counselors will even be happy to assist in introducing your dog to one of ours.
