Adoptable Dogs
An application is required in order to meet our adoptable pets, but it does not guarantee approval to adopt. HSEC is not able to hold specific animals and we can not promise you will be able to adopt the animal you apply for. Our goal is to make the best forever matches, and we reserve the right to decline any application and/or suggest a dog or cat that we believe may be a better fit your household.
All HSEC dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and on flea and heartworm prevention before leaving our facility. The dog adoption fee is $200 and is not refundable. All dogs must leave with a leash and collar. Adopters may bring their own or purchase one at our ReTail store.

Dog of the Month
Our sweet girl, Miss Elaine, has made her way back to HSEC through absolutely no fault of her own, and we’re still just as obsessed with her as the first time around.
Elaine is a 1-year-old terrier mix and quite honestly… the total package.
We’re talking:
• Walks like a pro on a leash
• Fully house trained
• Crate trained
•Dog and cat friendly
Basically, if there were a gold medal for “being the best girl,” Elaine would already have it hanging on her collar. She may take a second to warm up to new people, but give her a short walk and maybe a treat or two, and suddenly you’ve got a best friend for life trotting right beside you.
If your home feels like it’s missing a sweet, loyal, slightly goofy little shadow… Elaine might just be your girl.
