Help reduce the number of homeless pets by adopting from a humane society or shelter.

Visit the Shelter Pet Project at www.TheShelterPetProject.com to learn more about how many pets wind up in humane societies or shelters and what great companions they make.

The US Postal Service has introduced "Stamps to the Rescue", a stamp series to help educate folks about the joys of adopting a shelter pet.  While the HSEC cats and dogs have a safe place to be until they find their forever home, there are hundreds of thousands of homeless pets sitting in shelters waiting to find a new home.  Unfortunately, some of them never do.  Visit
Stamps to the Rescue to view the stamps and other items that are a part of the campaign.  Order some to use and some save.  They are just too cute!

The state of the economy has hit everyone hard and the Humane Society is no exception.  We understand that times are tight, but we still need your support!  Any amount - big or small - is always appreciated!  We are a registered non-profit, so all donations are tax deductible!

Use the PayPal button below to donate safely and securely or visit our Donations page to get more information on how you can help us help them.

   Humane Society of Eastern Carolina!

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is in need of new members!  Membership is a vital part of what helps us
operate from year to year.  We can't help the homeless animals of Eastern Carolina without your support!

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina feeds our pets Hill's Science Diet brand dry food.  We send each new adopted pet home with a bag to help their new owners maintain a constant diet of good nutrition.

We recommend Hill's Science Diet for a balanced and nutritional diet for pets.

Enroll your pet in a Shelter Care insurance program and help the Humane Society raise money for the homeless animals of Pitt County. Pet insurance can help make those hard decisions easier when it comes to your pet's health and well being. The cost is very reasonable and could make a big difference in yours and your pet's life.  All HSEC adoptions include one month of free Shelter Care Pet Insurance.  Click here to learn more and enroll your pet in Shelter Care pet insurance today!
