24 animals transferred from shelters in Eastern NC
13 animals surrendered into our care for adoption

The Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is a 501c(3) not for profit organization that relies solely on the generosity of individuals, special events, bequests, businesses, foundations and grants to advance our mission. We do not receive any local, state or federal funds, nor we do we receive any funding from the Humane Society of the United States or the ASPCA. Our loyal donors are vital to our success and our ability to provide the best possible care for the animals we serve. All donations are tax-deductible.

Ways to Donate

Bequests - To show appreciation for the joy, love, and loyalty that pets have shared with you during your lifetime, and to have a more lasting effect on the future of our organization and the role it plays in our community, consider naming the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina in your Will. Simply advise your attorney that you would like to include the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina when identifying your beneficiaries.

Leadership Council - This is a group of supporters who donate $1,000 or more in a calendar year. These donations are through monthly giving or a one-time gift. At this time, corporate and event sponsorship are not included in Leadership Council. If you are inducted to this group, you'll be invited to an exclusive donor appreciation gathering. 

 

Corporate Partners - Partnering your corporation with the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina is a great way to give back to the community, generate good will and help ensure the vision of all animals in safe and loving homes. Your company can volunteer with one of our many special events, sponsor one of our events, have a donation drive at the office, and so much more! In-Kind Donations - You can make a huge difference by providing the necessary goods or services needed to help us care for our animals. Please visit our General Wish List to see what items we may need and that you may be able to donate or visit our Amazon Wish List. We are always in need of facility renovations and repairs. Any builders of contractors willing to donate building supplies or services please contact us at Shelby@hsecarolina.org.

 

Donations in Honor/Memory of a Person or Pet - Honoring a loved one is so rewarding when donations are made to the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina. To make a donation in honor or memory of a person or pet, simply mail your check and a note indicating whom you would to acknowledge, as well as the recipient's name and address if you would like an acknowledgment to be sent. We cannot send an acknowledgment without this information so please be sure to provide it for us. 

 

Matching Gifts - Many employers will match your financial contributions and/or your volunteer efforts. Visit your Human Resource representative to find out if your employer matches or to pick up a matching gift form.
