Sabrina

An Exuberant Girl

Sabrina in a quiet moment.  The picture was taken through the window.

My sons and I adopted Sabrina in the summer of 2002.  We had adopted Sassy about 3 years earlier (from friends) and felt she needed a buddy to keep her company in the big yard of hers.  So we visited the Humane Society and found Sabrina.  She was about 9 weeks old and we thought that was wonderful!  We named her after the young lady at the Humane Society who helped us adopt her.  Since we had had Sassy spayed, we thought maybe Sabrina would be her "puppy".  It turned out that they have become good buds over the years.  Sassy, being a lab, loves to fetch a ball (or stick or pecan, or anything else you feel like throwing) and Sabrina (being so exuberant) will chase Sassy EVERY time.    Sabrina is BOUNCY! When I bring them a treat (which is every morning for doing a good job keeping unwanteds away at night), she bounces.... straight up....kinda like Tigger from Winnie the Pooh.  She is so sweet and loving.  She loves to be rubbed and petted.  As you can see from some of the pictures, it's difficult to get a good one of her because she wants to be loved and to love on you.  (She also wants to lick the camera).  I have 2 indoor cats, one of which (Skipper - the white one) is her buddy.  The play through the sliding glass door and I have caught them both sleeping up next to it as if lying together.  But - when Sabrina sneaks in, watch out, they want to play!

This is why Sabrina's picture was taken through the window.  She likes attention more than she likes cameras!

Sabrina loving some attention from her human!

Sabrina's sister, Sassy, eagerly awaiting a ball being thrown.
