MaryJane A Special Gal
MaryJane at her latest birthday party. She was the bell of the ball! I
adopted my daughter, MaryJane (a beagle/bassett mix), from the Humane
Society in Greenville, NC in April 1998. I saw her in the "puppy
barn" and fell completely in love with her! She was 7 weeks old and I
believe she lost her mother shortly after birth. She has been the
light of my life ever since! She was the cutest puppy in the whole
world!!! We just celebrated her 9th birthday and we hope to see many,
many more to come!

She is loved by everyone who meets her. I have some
friends who are "cat people" and say they
cannot stand dogs....until they meet MaryJane. She is the most laid
back, smart, beautiful, funny, and special dog ever born (I know, I'm
biased...but its true). She can roll down the window in my car
(electric windows), count to 5 by barking the number of fingers you
hold up, and she has even been known to honk the horn when I run in
the gas station because she can't wait for me to get back in the car!
Her favorite things in the world are taking walks and dressing up in
cute outfits (no, really...she loves to dress up)! She is a pro when
it comes to helping people in distress...if she sees you crying, she
will run over to console you and it works everytime!
She just lost her best friend and cousin, Roscoe (a
Jack Russell) in a hit and run accident last night and is very sad
right now. My sister and I stopped by your place today to see about
adopting a new cousin and best friend for MaryJane. The pain of
losing Roscoe is still very fresh, but hopefully we will be adopting a
new friend very soon. It really makes me appreciate the best thing I
ever did...adopt MaryJane 9 years ago this month. I just wanted to
say THANK YOU for all you do and because of your organization my life
has been filled with the joy MaryJane brings every single day! My
life would not be the same without her and I am truly blessed! THANK
YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
