How Stitch Found A New Home

My boyfriend (husband now) and I decided that we should go to Greenville one day and that we didn't really have anything to do so we could go look at pets. We didn't know it yet but we were defiantly miss something in our lives. As we walked through the doors friendly people asked if we needed any help with anything to let them know and they would be happy to assist us. We sort of had our minds made up of what we wanted. The amazing bully breed. My husband had previously had a pit bull for about 11 years and he passed away. I wasn't quite sure because of the reputation they had, but I decided to give it a try. We walked through the kennels looking for the "one", thinking we'll never find him/her. Well we walked through the second set of kennels and I heard my husband excitedly say, " Hey babe, Is that a Pit Bull?!" I said it looks like one. We went over to him and found out his name Stitch. My husband fell in love as did I. We asked to play with him in the fenced in yard and after that we knew Stitch was the "one". It was kinda crazy because it was like something clicked in both of us. He was an awesome dog and still is! We got him in April of 2005 and he has been a joyous part of the family. This dog.....Stitch is so much more than a dog. He has got a sense of humor like a human. My husband and I could SWEAR that he can understand everything you say. He is smart, humorous, and as my husband says the sexiest bull dog. Some of is humorous traits are that he sleeps on the floor sometimes and the reason for that is because you cannot get a good sleep with him on the bed. He is a bed hogger. I woke up one morning and could not feel my legs haha. He was at my feet balled up in a ball. He also likes to get in between me and my husband. Also one night I had a rice cake I was eating and he stared me down all the way til the next to the last bite. I told him if he went and ate all of his food I would give him the last bite. And he got up and went into the kitchen and ate all of his food. My husband laughed and told me I promised him that piece and I gave it to him. I told my husband that I could not talk to Stitch again because that was just SCARY! Anyways, Stitch is a great dog. and we love him dearly! He is truly one of the coolest dogs around! Thanks Humane Society!
