Circe

(formerly “Diamond”)

What a Great Gal!

I took Circe home from the Humane Society two years ago. Up until then, I had never owned a dog, only cats. Now I’m a convert! (Although I still love cats.) Circe has been a great pet. She is lively and fun and has an excellent temperament, never showing anything but affection to the many different human beings she has encountered.

Things have changed quite a bit since I adopted Circe. My boyfriend became a husband and moved in with me and Circe last year. Circe didn’t mind. From the start, she considered him her boyfriend and remains convinced that Raj “joined the pack” for her sake, rather than mine!

Circe has even traveled to New York City for a one-week visit. There, her beautiful blue eye and charming floppy right ear drew lots of attention, especially from kids. In spite of the radical change in environment from the quiet side streets of Greenville to the crowded sidewalks of Brooklyn, Circe retained her happy-go-lucky spirit and took all the attention in stride.

When we take Circe out, many people stop to admire her and ask us where we got her. They’re often surprised to find out that we got such a beautiful, good-tempered dog from a shelter. Circe can’t believe that people don’t know what great dogs on on offer from the Humane Society and she is glad to be out there, setting the record straight!

Best Wishes,

Raj and Nicole Sidhu
