Jersey Girl

A Great Big Sister

Jersey Girl and Pumpkin

We adopted “Jersey Girl” on August 31, 2005.  (Pitt County Humane Society name – Sasha).  What a great addition to our family.  My elderly cat, Molly, died after 19 great years together.  We could never add a dog, it would had been too upsetting for Molly.

When we were ready to adopt, we found PCHS.  What a great place!  Jersey was the last dog we looked at, I just fell in love with her.  She is a very sweet, low key girl.  She loves thinking that she is a lap dog.  Jersey is pretty quiet – but she can howl with the best of them.  She is indoor/outdoor, but she definitely prefers the couch.  She loves to go on walks and likes going to the beach.

Since adopting Jersey, we added a kitten to our house – “Pumpkin”.  Jersey has been a great big sister.  It’s great to see a cat & dog get along so well.

We also fostered an adorable stray that we found.  Jersey really enjoyed her company until we found her a great home.  Maybe we’ll someday consider adding a second puppy to our family.

We love Jersey.  Thank you for having such a great facility to adopt from; it’s been a great experience.
