Maggie was adopted by Brook Griffith about 4 years ago as a puppy.  Our shelter director at the time knew Brook and her mother and they both tried to talk Brook out of adopting because she was a college student at Appalachian.  The old "do you know where you'll be in 4 years?" worry that most college students don't think about when they are making a 15 year commitment to a pet.  Her mother finally agreed to be responsible for Maggie if something happened and Brook was no longer able to keep her.  Fortunately, Brook proved to be the kind of pet parent we're always looking for and Maggie and Brook have been inseparable ever since.  Of course it would only make sense that she would be at Brook's wedding.
