Tombstone

A Tribute to "A Wonderful Boy"

I just wanted to let you know that Tombstone passed away on Friday morning, June 15, 2007. Tombstone had a 5lb tumor and his spleen removed in November of last year and we thought we were in the clear. However, he had developed another tumor and started to bleed internally. We fought this for 3 or 4 months. His body just gave out on him. Tombstone was a wonderful dog. The perfect companion. He loved to eat (peanut butter especially), go for walks and sleep! It seems like yesterday we were there picking him up and taking him home.

We wanted to thank you for giving us the opportunity to have Tombstone in our lives. He was a part of the family!

He's gone, but not forgotten.

Tombstone and his new parents at the 4th Annual Canine Crawl

We just read your article about Tombstone in the Humane Society newsletter. We just wanted to write and let you know that he is just one wonderful boy! We just can not believe how lucky we are to have him!

He is a healthy active dog that is having way too much fun! He loves sleeping on the couch, on the floor, on his bed, in the closet, outside on the back porch or wherever he can find a spot to lie down!

And does he ever LOVE to walk! (It might be walking to him but it has become jogging to us!) He is a great dog and we really want to thank you for holding onto him for us. It is amazing that a dog like Tombstone would not have been adopted sooner! We are so glad that he found us!

Thanks,

Don & Beth
