Molly - A Happy Gal
Matt, Susan, Molly and Trip enjoying themselves at the 4th Annual Canine Crawl. Molly and Trip update - March, 2004 Matt, Susan, Molly and Trip attended the 4th Annual Canine Crawl this year and a good time was had by all. Molly and Trip are certainly doing quite well in their new home and are clearly spoiled to pieces - as all dogs should be. Deyonne Brewer, Molly and Trip's foster Mom, got to visit with them during the day and she was immensely pleased to see them and see how great they are doing. Thank you Matt and Susan for giving these lucky pooches such a great home! |

Deyonne Brewer, one of the Humane Society's dedicated foster Moms, sent us this story along with a recent picture of Molly in her new home. Clearly a happy and loved little girl! Attached is a picture of a puppy that I fostered. She was adopted by Susan and Matt Ballengee. They also adopted one of her siblings, Trip. Molly and Trip were from a litter of eleven. Their mother was struggling with nursing eleven puppies - as any Mother would! Three of the puppies had upper respiratory infections and had to be put on antibiotics. Molly was one of the three. She was the runt in the litter so I put her in a carrier next to my bed and bottle fed her along with her medication. Due to her respiratory infection, she was really struggling to breathe. I took her back to the vet and they suggested that I tube feed her. That evening she stopped breathing and I gave her CPR. I saved her to my amazement! She is very happy at the Ballengee's home as you can see from the picture. Trip is also doing very well! |
