We adopted Riley in October of 2007. Since then, she has not once ceased to amaze us with her capacity to love and to obey. We feel truly blessed to have stumbled across the best dog in the world, right here at our local Humane Society of Eastern NC. Riley has been the perfect addition to our family. Gentle, intelligent, and engaging, she has captured our hearts and the hearts of our friends. We continue to encourage everyone we know to look to their local shelters when searching for a new bundle of joy for their home. We thought we were rescuing Riley, but the truth of the matter is that she has rescued us instead.
