8th Annual Canine Crawl

Rescheduled for Saturday, May 3, 2008 - Greenville Town Common
A one mile fun walk for dogs and their owners

Unfortunately, Mother Nature is not cooperating with us this year and the Canine Crawl has been cancelled due to a significant chance of torrential rain on Saturday, April 5, 2008.  We have rescheduled the event for Saturday, May 3, 2008 – same time, same place. 

We hope that your schedule will allow you to join us for the 8th Annual Canine Crawl on Saturday, May 3, 2008.

If you will not be able to attend the Canine Crawl on May 3, but would like to get the pledges that you collected to us,
please send your completed pledge form and the pledges you received in personal checks, to us at:

Please write a personal check for any donations that you received in cash as it is not safe to send cash in the mail.

Instead of a registration fee, we are asking participants to obtain pledges from friends, family and/or coworkers for their participation in the walk.  The minimum pledge for participation will be $25 which will earn each dog a goodie bag.  Additional gifts will be awarded at specific pledge levels.  See Pledge Form for details.

The extra funds raised with the pledges will help support the homeless animals at the Humane Society of Eastern Carolina throughout the year.  The pledge form will take the place of a registration form.

Registration begins at 9:30 am at the Greenville Town Common. 
All dogs and owners must register to participate in the walk.

Individuals who have adopted a dog or puppy from the Humane Society are eligible to receive $5 off the $35 microchip fee at the Canine Crawl.  Please bring a copy of the Adoption Contract to take advantage of this great offer!

Vendors are different than sponsors, although sponsors do receive a free vendor table if they wish to attend.  Vendors can provide information or sell items, with the exception of hot food items or drinks, from their vendor table.  The vendor participation fee is $25 and includes a table and two chairs for the day.  There is no fee for non-profit vendor.
 


Bringing Your Dog...
 

Do NOT bring your dog if he/she is younger than SIX months of age and/or is not fully vaccinated.

Do NOT bring your dog is she is in HEAT.

Have your dog wear current ID and rabies tag (or bring rabies certificate)

Water will be provided.

Even if you are not thirsty, be sure to let your dog have plenty of access to water.

Keep your dog on a 6-foot or shorter leash at all times.

Bring your dog if he/she will enjoy being around other people and dogs.
